Mental health billing for Wasatch Front practices
Your revenue, recovered.
Specialized mental health billing for solo and small-group practices on the Wasatch Front.
You went into private practice to see patients. Not to chase down United claims.
The Problem
Why mental health billing is broken.
Mental health practitioners face a structurally harder reimbursement environment than any other specialty. The denials are higher. The documentation is stricter. The recovery is harder, because most appeals never get filed.
15% - 25%
First-pass denial rate for mental health claims. Up to twice the medical-surgical average.
Two-thirds
Of mental health denials are administrative, not clinical. Most are preventable upstream.
$20K to $40K
Annual revenue abandoned by a typical solo practice to denials that never get worked.

Who We Are
Who built Wren Recovery.

Wren Recovery started with a conversation about a gap in the mental health field. Therapists don't need another generalist biller. They need a partner they can trust. only does mental health and knows their payers. That's why I built Wren Recovery.
Galen Rodgers, Founder
CPB certification in progress · Wasatch Front, Utah
What You Get
Why Wren Recovery?
Mental health only.
We know the denial codes that hit Utah therapists hardest. We also know the easy fixes most billers miss.
Utah payer fluency.
BCBS of Utah, PEP, Aetna, United, Molina. We know each payers quirks, modifier rules, and what they're paying this year.
Denial-first thinking.
Two-thirds of mental health denials are administrative not clinical. We catch them upstream so they never deny.
The Process
How it works.

FAQ
Questions therapists ask before getting started.
How much does this cost?
Solo practices: a flat monthly fee. Group practices: per-provider flat rate or percentage of collections, depending on volume. Pricing happens after a discovery call so we can match the right model to your practice.
How long does it take to switch from my current biller?
A clean handoff usually takes 30 days. We handle the data transfer, payer notifications, and EHR access setup. You keep seeing patients.
What happens to claims my current biller is still working?
Two options. Option A: your current biller finishes and we take everything new from a defined cutoff date. Option B: we work them too, billed separately as retroactive cleanup. We decide together during onboarding.
Are you HIPAA-compliant?
Yes. Business Associate Agreement (BAA) signed with every client before any data is exchanged. All tools used (Google Workspace, e-fax, clearinghouse) are covered under signed BAAs. Errors & omission insurance in place.
What if my denials are mostly from one specific payer?
Then you'll like the Top 3 Denial Code Review even more. Send the codes. We'll tell you exactly what's happening with that payer and what to do about it.
Do you work with practices outside of Utah?
Not currently. Wren Recovery focuses on the Wasatch Front specifically because Utah payer knowledge is one of the things you hire us for.
Do you offer credentialing?
Not currently however, that is subject to change.
